Black Lives Matter

In response to an article titled: "BLM Affiliated Groups Release Policy Demands Calls For Slavery Reparations" from the Patriot Tribune. Two things: 1) Stop reading magazines with a conservative bias because you're only gonna get the side they want you to believe. And if you read them, don't believe everything in them until you see it multiple places. 2) An "affiliated group" doesn't mean anything because there are always some dumb shits that get a mob together and say stupid things. The loudest of Bernie supporters aren't getting free college. The loudest of Trump supporters aren't getting a wall paid for by Mexico. The woman in charge of BLM in Chicago isn't going to get an entire reconstruction of the police like she asked for because it's a ridiculous request. These people aren't getting reparations and I would bet my bottom dollar that Obama or Hillary or Bernie or any other qualified liberal/neoconservative would never even toy with the idea of reparations. The only thing we can do as a people is ensure the police forces are respected by the African American community which starts with all Americans seeing the laundry list of unarmed black males killed by police does not continue year over year. As well, we should recognize the inherited socio-economic plight of most black Americans and ensure that whether a Republican or Democrat is in the White House, the social programs developed for those in need are maintained. We can't put weight on an opinion built by anger and groupthink. We can only make sure it doesn't spread by fixing the issue as best we can.
