Mainstream Media
The mainstream media has been indoctrinating the thirsty minds of Americans since Ben Franklin was writing quips about finance and farming under pseudonyms in Philadelphia. The media maintains law and order by injecting the idea into all of our heads that there are large forces at constant work creating policy and legislation and there's not much we can do about it. But to get through our days we can buy things, we can watch sports, and we can gripe to each other. Civility reigns by was of fear that we live in a society that does not condone a fight against the system. Yes we may complain, we may even organize and yell, but only to the extent that we maintain our system of power and our state-controlled corporate economy. All the talk of the corrupting the minds of Americans is not wrong.
However, Donald Trump has displayed publicly a complete lack of understanding as to WHY the media is corrupt. His argument is always personal and it doesn't take any of what I said above into account. Trump's accusations of "rigging" by the media are so incredibly off base and that's why I, someone who actually supports the theory of a corrupt media, can not at all support his effort to fight against the corruption.
We as Americans can educate ourselves enough to see through bias.
